Wireless HD TV came a little closer to reality with the news that the South West Ventures Fund has confirmed a further investment in ProVision Communications, a developer of wireless HD TV technology.
SWVF, along with private investors has ploughed £1m in this latest round of funding. ProVision has developed a technology that uses the same wireless network and video encoding technologies found in PCs and mobile phones to stream multiple live HD TV signals around an office or home. The company's send-and-receive technology will be sold to manufacturers and integrated into set top boxes and HD TVs.
