An audio company has been launched specialising in the sales and distribution of RF audio for broadcast, film and live work.
MTA Audio will initially focus on Lectrosonics products. Founding members Rob Piddington and Paul Hodsman will be concentrating on reintroducing Lectrosonics back into the UK marketplace after it pulled out of the European market a few years ago due to the RoHS regulations.
Piddington has held sales and marketing positions at companies such as Sennheiser and Harman, while Hodsman used to run his own advertising and marketing agency in London. 'We are the first significant post-recessionary dealership to come into the UK market,' claimed Hodsman. 'We are currently in talks with other equipment manufacturers and expect to make further announcements shortly.'
Gordon Moore, vice-president of sales for Lectrosonics, said 'The plan for re-entry took some time to formulate and consisted of implementing lead-free manufacturing. In addition, we knew that we wanted to take a different and better approach to marketing and sales.'
