Derek Chalmers, production manager at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC), has passed the Infocomm Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) examination. The in-house a-v department at the QEIICC already has sound engineer Joe Chilvers with the qualification.

Visualiser manufacturer AVerMedia has appointed Robert Kucharczyk as European sales director. He will be based in the UK and will be responsible for the management of AVerMedia's European sales operation.

Element Labs appoints sales VP

LED manufacturer Element Labs has appointed Marc Van Eekeren as vice president of worldwide sales. He brings more than 25 years experience in roles in both Europe and North America. Prior to joining Element Labs, Van Eekeren spent a large part of his career at Barco's Media & Entertainment division, which he joined in 2001.

Delta expands and restructures

Events company Delta has increased its staff numbers to 16 by taking on five new members of staff, as well as making changes to its management structure. Simon Gasston has been appointed as Delta's first MD, and will continue work closely with owners Cristin Bouchet and Lloyd Sawyor.
