Saville Audio Visual has supplied a special moisture proof audio-visual system to help train the British synchronised swimming team in preparation for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
Saville has installed a DVD video recording system at the Army Garrison Sports Centre in Aldershot, with playback on the poolside through a Sanyo CE42 waterproof LCD monitor display. Designed for use outdoors or in harsh environments, the 42inch all-weather monitor is completely sealed for use in wet surroundings and ideal for reviewing progress of the team’s performance.
The team’s technical programme manager, Adele Carlsen said: “It definitely helps with the training programme. For synchronised swimming it is vital to be able to see what you are doing. Now we can hook up the underwater camera or analyse our competitors by the pool.”
To provide music for the team’s training sessions, Saville also installed a high performance audio system with speakers fixed above the pool linked to a special underwater speaker in the side of the pool itself.
