Norwegian cinemas are to trial Sony 4k digital projectors.
XRX-R110CE projectors using Sony’s silicon reflective display devices ar to be installed in theatres in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim and Stavanger.
The installations form part of Norway’s Digitial Interoperability in Cinema (NORDIC) project, which is designed to test out operational issues and audience reactions to digital cinema.
The projectors will be supplied with content by a DCI-compliant Sony Media Block server.
