TDK Life on Record is continuing its European tour by bringing its trailer to London. Specifically designed to showcase how home entertainment has changed over the past 40 years right up to the new Blu-ray era of high-definition, TDK Life on Record's gallery will be in London's Covent Garden from 5 -16 September.
Visitors can visit separate rooms, each one reflecting a different decade, right through from the seventies to the noughties. Open to the public, media and partners, TDK Life on Record's trailer highlights developments and legacy through the decades within a cultural context, whether it is the audio cassette in the seventies, DVD in the nineties, or home cinema in the noughties. This journey leads through to the future with Blu-ray discs. Coinciding with London's Fashion and Design week, the TDK Life on Record Trailer designed by Smashing Productions and architect Fabrizio Bertero, comprises two containers that are connected together. One container hosts the museum of technologies past and the other is dedicated to the future of our viewing and listening pleasure through HD and the Blu-ray format.
