NEC Display Solutions introduced three LCD technology projectors: the NP400, NP500 and NP600 projectors.
NEC Display Solutions has introduced three LCD technology projector. The NEC NP400, NP500 and NP600 projectors. LAN network management and control of the projectors is managed directly over the network via the RJ45 interface. The projectors feature NEC's Virtual Remote function direct from a PC using the VGA cable. The projectors weigh 2.9kg, anc can be used as portable devices or desktop projectors. They have been designed with the needs of education and training facilities in mind, but are also suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The NP projectors have a brightness of 2,600 (NEC NP400), 3,000 (NP500) and 3,500 (NEC NP600) lumens. Vertical keystone correction and wall-colour correction are automatically handled, whilst the quickstart function ensures that the devices are fully functional only eight seconds after the power is first switched on. The auto input function allows the projector to automatically recognise the connected signal source, whilst auto power on allows the device to automatically switch itself on and if the signal is interrupted, the projector is switched off. The projectors have also been equipped with 7W loudspeakers.
The range has the ability to manage and control the projector directly over a network using the RJ45 port. This means that the projectors can be centrally managed, as well as switched on and off remotely.
The Virtual Remote function allows the various projector settings to be managed, not only using the remote control unit, but also from the computer connected to it via the VGA cable. These include, for example, the picture and sound settings, or simply switching the projector on and off without using additional cables for the RS232 or USB ports. The required software - to enable control of the projector over the network or by using the Virtual Remote function - can be downloaded from NEC Display Solutions' website free of charge.
The lamp lifetimes have been extended from 3,000 to 4,000 hours and NEC has also added a low power stand by mode that saves energy by only consuming 3 watts whilst in stand-by mode.
