Videoconferencing distributor Beyondis is to offer Avistar's C3 desktop technology to its resellers throughout the UK. This move enables Beyondis resellers to offer a deeper product line to their customers, who have been requesting desktop videoconferencing as a way to enhance their communications abilities among their employees.
‘Avistar desktop videoconferencing increases the ‘stickiness' that resellers want in their relationship with customers. It expands their ability to meet their customers' needs, and it offers a whole new product area that is proven, cost-effective and easy to use. They'll quickly find that it will help them in existing customer installations as well as open new doors for them,' said Darren Innes, general manager, worldwide sales, Avistar.
‘More and more, customers want the convenience of videoconferencing without having to schedule a room. With Avistar, they can have videoconferencing from their home, desktop or hotel room - essentially anywhere they have their laptop. We expect that Avistar desktop videoconferencing will be a product initially ordered by management, and then as they use it, they'll want to see it accepted as a company-wide communications tool,' said Andy Aikman, technical director, Beyondis.
