The world premiere of Angels & Demons at the Parco della Musica auditorium in Rome used Sony's CineAlta-4K digital projection system, which features four times the resolution of traditional full HD and 2K digital projectors.
A sequel to The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons was projected onto a large screen at the Sala Sinopoli, one of three concert halls at Parco della Musica. The premiere took place in Rome where most of the film is set. The CineAlta-4K projection system used for the screening comprised of Sony Professional's SRX-R220 digital cinema projector, LMT-200 Media Block and LSM-100 screen management system software.
In addition to the premiere, Angels & Demons will also be released to theatres worldwide as a 4K digital cinema package.
