Epson has launched the EB-Z8000 range of projectors, aimed at the higher end (>5,000 lumens) of the projection market, a segment new to the Japanese manufacturer. Both are being aimed at large environments such as lecture halls, conference rooms and auditorium. The European launch of the range was previewed last week in Paris to both journalists and dealers.
The EB-Z8000 series features two models;
- The EB-Z8000WU is a WUXGA 3LCD projector, capable of 1920x1200 resolution, and 6,000 lumens of brightness
- The EB-X8050W is a WXGA projector, capable of a resolution of 1280x800, and 7,000 lumens of brightness.
The EB-Z8000 series projectors both have a dual lamp system, and come with six optional lenses. Both models feature a cable management system to hide wires, and come equipped with carrying handles to assist transportation and packing, and the handles can also be connected to a specially designed ceiling mount kit.
Epson's EasyMP function enables wireless multi-screen presentation of up to four projectors simultaneously. Both models use liquid-colling, peltier-cooling and air-colling technology to lower the temperature of the LCD panels directly.
The EB-Z8000WU is available from September 2009 and EB-Z8050W will be on the market from January 2010.
