Soho Editors Training, in association with Apple and Tyrell CCT are hosting free training events in London and Belfast on September 10th & 17th, focusing on the new aspects of Apple's latest Final Cut Studio release.
The three-hour course is designed to introduce professional editors to the key features of the new Final Cut Studio. How to work effectively with the latest tools, both in terms of how they augment established operations and how they can be used to create new opportunities for digital post production.
Topics include an overview of the new codec support in Final Cut Pro and a detailed examination of the expanded ProRes family. The course uses practical exercises and examples to explore changes in Motion 4, Soundtrack Pro 3, Color 1.5 and Compressor 3.5.

- Working with ProRes 422 (Proxy), ProRes 422 (LT), ProRes 4444
- Applying speed changes
- Collaborating with iChat Theatre
- Audio sweetening
- 3D with shadows and reflections
- Precision colour grading
- Automatic sharing and Blu-ray support

Hands on Sessions will run from 12.00 - 15.00hrs. Doors Open at 11.00 and close at 19.00hrs. There are a maximum of 12 places for each hands-on session, the first 6 places can be reserved in advance and the last 6 places are on a first come-first served basis on the day.
