NEC has launched the Multisync P-Series, a range of LCD panels aimed directly at the digital signage sector. Both models, the P401 and P461, feature full HD resolution of 1920x1080.
Equipped with an ambient light sensor, the displays of the P-Series offer a brightness of 700cd/m2.
The integrated ambient light sensor features an internal scheduler to control the display's operation according to a given timetable. This allows the user to create an intelligent brightness control system to minimise the overall power consumption of the devices, while decreasing power consumption.
The displays are also equipped with user controllable fans.
Alongside DVI and HDMI ports, the products feature a DisplayPort interface, allowing Ethernet connectivity and remote management.
The displays can also transmit early warning signals about possible faults or risks of potential overheating.
