Barrie Guy moves from NEC to head up LG's B2B division

LG Electronics has appointed Barrie Guy as general manager of its new business solutions division. Guy, brings 10 years' experience in the electronics industry to LG, including roles with Sony and most recently at NEC.
He will in charge of driving LG's expansion into the B2B market - with a focus on developing existing and creating new relationships with UK-based B2B and corporate resellers.
Guy has told AV he is already actively recruiting experienced pro av people for the rest of his B2B team.
'The time is right. The market is mature and ready for LG to increase its presence in the B2B and corporate sectors,' says Guy. 'LG has thought long and hard about what it is going to deliver to the UK market.'
'LG possesses an array of B2B products, enabling us to provide complete, end-to-end solutions for business and corporate customers. This is a clear differentiator for us versus many vendors in the market that need to rely on a mix of third party solutions.'
